Lyle David Winkler, age 73 of Wauconda, IL, passed away Thursday, March 28th 2013 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.. He was born November 19, 1939 in Elgin, IL. He was a lifelong resident of Wauconda, IL., a past member of the Wauconda School Board and the owner of Reliance Glass Works, Inc. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, April 12, 2013 at 4: oopm from the Wauconda Federated Church in Wauconda, IL. Pastor Ryan Sutton will be officiating.
Mr. Winkler is survived by his wife of 24 years, Diane (Halicki) Winkler of Wauconda, IL., daughters Kelly (Stefano) Sassi of Chicago, IL., Kim Christopher of Cary, IL., Valerie (Robert) Swartzbaugh of Canton, GA., son Steven Svec of Murfreesboro, TN. He was the very proud Grandfather of Zachary Christopher, Mackenzie and Kaitlyn Swartzbaugh and Lorenzo Sassi.
He is preceded in death by his parents Walter & Ida Winkler; brothers Dennis Winkler and Bruce Winkler; sisters Dorothy Haworth and Linda Ravens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org.
