Major Kyle C. Tafel, age 36 of Atlanta, was killed on Monday, June 12th in Minski, Belarus. He was on leave vacationing at the time of the incident. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 7th at 12:30p.m. in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery with full military honors. Major Tafel is survived by:

Brother - Kory Ryan Tafel of Lula
Sister - Nicole Rae Powell of Lexington, KY.
Nephews - Kamden and Hudson Tafel of Lula
Niece - Elise Powell of Lexington, KY.
Numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins also survive.
