Marcelina Dora Sullivan, 87 of Canton, GA., passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025. The funeral will be at 11:30am, Tuesday, January 21st at Timothy Lutheran Church in Woodstock, GA. with Rev. Daniel Brammier officiating. Interment will be at 2pm at Georgia National Cemetery. She is survived by:
Husband - Robert Lawrence Sullivan of Canton, GA.
Son - Robert Peter (Tracy) Sullivan of Canton, GA.
Daughter - Cathleen Sullivan (Lief Berthen) of Sandy Springs, GA.
Daughter - Linda Hug (Rob Conley) of Alpharetta, GA.
Daughter - Marilynn (Kevin) Schaff of Canton, GA.
Sister - Gloria Esparza of El Paso, TX.
Sister - Esther Martinez of El Paso, TX.
Sister - Socorro Perez of El Paso, TX.
Grandchildren - Steven Schaff, Jason Schaff, Ryan Hug, Kyle Hug.
From the time her first-born arrived in Panama to her twilight days more than six decades later, it was evident that Marcelina loved the Lord and her family. She was devoted to keeping the family together despite having to pack up and move numerous times (16) as career and other opportunities opened across the country. She never complained about the difficulties of establishing a home in a totally new environment every few years. As long as the family was together, it was good. Marcelina's faith sustained her through many of life's challenges, including the passing of four younger siblings. She will be dearly missed as the matriarch and center hub of the family.
