Marcella Smith Erickson age 74 of Canton, GA passed away September 29, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM Tuesday October 4, 2016 from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home with a Graveside Service following at 3:00PM Wednesday October 5, 2016 in Patrick Cemetery, Patrick, SC. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until the funeral hour. She graduated with a B.A. degree from Wesleyan in Macon, Ga. with a major in physical education and secondary education. She loved teaching history to the seventh grade. Mrs. Erickson was a teacher in the Dekalb County, GA school system and the states or Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina. She also worked for the prestigious Talbot's Women's clothiers for 15 years in Michigan, Oklahoma and Georgia. She loved to travel, visiting over 15 countries around the world and most of the United States. She is survived by her husband James Erickson, Canton, GA, son; Karl Joseph Erickson, OK and 1 grandson; James Thomas Erickson. In lieu of flowers Contributions can be sent to the
