Margaret
Crepeau
February 28, 1948 – April 1, 2026
Margaret “Peggy” Nolte Crepeau, 78, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026.
Born on February 28, 1948, in Pennsylvania, Peggy moved with her family at a young age to Central Florida, where she was raised. She attended Catholic school and later graduated from Barry College in South Florida. After completing her education, she remained in South Florida for more than 30 years, building both a successful career and a lifetime of cherished friendships.
Peggy was a dedicated registered dietitian who spent much of her career as a food service director. She worked in South Florida with the North Broward Hospital District and later in Rome, Georgia, with Floyd Medical Center. She was not only respected for her professionalism, but deeply admired as a mentor and leader—always guiding others with kindness, encouragement, and wisdom.
In her later years, Peggy made her home in Waleska, Georgia, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law and enjoyed being close to her son. Nothing meant more to her than time spent with her family.
Peggy had a generous heart and a gift for seeing the best in everyone. She loved traveling, creating memories with loved ones, and embracing life’s simple joys. An avid football fan, she especially looked forward to football season. She proudly cheered for the Miami Dolphins and supported the Dallas Cowboys alongside her son. On the college field, she rooted for Florida teams, with special pride for the Florida Gators and the UCF Knights, where her granddaughters attended.
Peggy had a deep love for the water—whether it was relaxing at the beach, enjoying time in the pool, or setting off on a cruise. She especially loved water aerobics and found great joy in staying active in the water. For many years, she even taught a water aerobics class at her HOA pool, sharing her enthusiasm and bringing people together through fun, friendship, and fitness.
Peggy also had a special love for otters, a passion that brought her great joy. Her home was filled with treasured photographs, prints, and keepsakes—each one sure to bring a smile to visitors.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Connolly Nolte; her father, Robert Benjamin Nolte; and her brothers, Richard T. Nolte, Robert Nolte, and George Nolte.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Lynn Lesieur and her husband, Andrew Lesieur; her son, Donald Paul Crepeau Jr. and his wife, Jodi Crepeau; her beloved granddaughters, Allison Tedeschi (26) and Caroline Tedeschi (22); her brother, Patrick Nolte and his wife, Linda; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at a later date.
Peggy will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love. She touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ms. Margaret Crepeau.
