Mrs. Margaret Valero McPherson age 83 of Canton, GA passed away Friday January 8, 2015. Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:30PM Wednesday January 13, 2015 from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Interment following in the Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30PM. Visitation will be from 11:30AM until the funeral hour. Margaret was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Florida State University where she met Hugh, her husband of 61 years. They lived and raised their three children in Venice, Florida. She and Hugh retired to Brevard, North Carolina and later Canton, Georgia. Mrs. McPherson is survived by her husband; Hugh G. McPherson, Canton, GA, sons; John McPherson, Cedar Key, FL, Keith McPherson, Asheville, NC, daughter; Brenda (Alan) Thompson, Woodstock, GA, 5 grandchildren; Sarah Houder, Sam McPherson, Amy Thompson, Marie Abdullah and Taylor McPherson. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
