Maria Helena Cunha passed away on May 22nd, 2026, at WellStar Tranquility Hospice Center surrounded by loved ones at 81 years old. She was the widow of William Roberto Cunha. They shared fifty-four beautiful years together.

Born in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, she was the only daughter of Joao and Conceicao Siqueira. She was a devoted wife and mother, as well as dedicated homemaker.

She was a devout Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church. She was a cinephile and enjoyed going to the movies, spoiling her many cats over the years, and driving around town. She will be remembered for her love, compassion, and dedication to her loved ones.

She is survived by her four daughters: Silvia, Sandra, Simone, and Fabiana; one son in law, Carlos; her seven grandchildren: Rafael, Marcelo, Breno, Marco, Nicholas, Michelle, and Sophia; and her beloved cat George. She was predeceased by her husband, William.

The memorial service will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Darby Funeral Home, located at 480 East Main Street, Canton, GA, 30115. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Light refreshments will be served after the service. We ask that those attending wear brightly colored clothing to celebrate the life of Maria.
