Marie Louise Puett Creekmore was born in Visalia, California to Col. Joseph F. and Louise L. Puett on May 18, 1938. She lived in Germany for 6 years then moved to Indianapolis, North Carolina, Kansas, Texas and Georgia (her home state). She joined the 1st United Methodist Church at the age of 7. Marie moved her membership to Roswell United Methodist Church in 1994, where she was the Communion Steward for 6 years.

Marie held many professional positions throughout her career, including working for Conn. Mutual and Mass Mutual in real estate property management for both leasing and management.

Her parents predeceased her in death. She was married to Billy Brown Creekmore and they had two children, Marian Louise White and William Brown Creekmore. She is survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was looking forward to more great-grandchildren with the arrival of twins in September.

She courageously fought ovarian cancer for 17 years. Marie will be remembered for her laughter, energy, positive spirit, and saltiness. Her fashion sense and style were her trademarks. Marie was an integral part of our family, and although she will be missed greatly, we all find comfort in knowing that she is home with our Heavenly Father.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home in Canton, GA. Visitation will take place 1 hour before the service begins.
