Please join us for the life celebration of Marilyn Bassett Hallissey, who passed away Thursday, August 10th, 2023. Family will receive friends on August 26, 2023 from 12:30-1:30pm at Darby Funeral Home Chapel in Canton, Georgia. A memorial service will follow beginning at 1:30pm at the same location.

Marilyn is survived by her two brothers Jim and Edward Bassett along with her loving and devoted husband, Bob Hallissey. She is also survived by her three children and their spouses - Jill and Scott Edgecombe, David and Tammy Boron, Brian and Becky Boron, as well as her stepson and spouse, Mark and Kathy Hallissey and her stepdaughter, Megan Hallissey. Marilyn was also a devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren Nicolas Boron, Sophia and Ty Edgecombe, Arabella and Sienna Boron. She was known as Nana to Sean, Kevin, and Kira Hallissey. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
