Mrs. Mary (Beth) Cape has been called home to Jesus. She passed from this world last Friday, March 2, 2018 after experiencing complications from a heart attack. Beth had a life philosophy centered around Christ, family, friends and making memories. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister - - family was the priority. When people asked her what she did, her response was an enthusiastic, "I'm a Grandma!".
She loved to sew beautiful creations for her grandchildren and was always willing to talk for hours about your problems or concerns and loved connecting with people. She was a very talented cook, and spent hours in the kitchen making delicious food for her family and friends. She loved to travel and even braved a two year stint living in Kuwait with her husband, Chuck, and their three young children!
We are very thankful for her strong faith in Jesus; as we work through our pain, we are also able to celebrate that she now knows true peace, happiness and love for eternity. She will be severely missed.
She is survived by:
Husband - Charles (Chuck) Cape
Children - Lee, Anthony (Tony), and Natalie
And, eight (wonderful) grandchildren - ages 3 to 23!
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project, World Vision, or Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).
A memorial celebration of life service for Mary (Beth) Cape will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 9 AM at East Cobb Baptist Church, 1940 Shallowford Rd, Marietta, GA, 30066. Her ashes will be laid to rest later in the day with a ceremony at 2 PM at Georgia National Cemetery. All who want to attend are welcome.
