Mary Louise Dungan Brown, age 94 of Canton, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 07, 2017.
She was born in Forsyth, Georgia. She was the daughter of George Fredrick Dungan and Lula Ethel Padgett Dungan. She was a graduate of Mary person's High School and Georgia-Alabama Business school. She retired from Citizens and Southern National Bank after 25 years of dedicated service.
Mary married the love of her life Wilson Franklin Brown on September 29, 1944. As a young naval couple, they lived in several different cities before settling in Atlanta after Mr. Brown's discharge from the military.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson F. Brown, her daughter, Kristina Brown Webb, and her son-in-law, Richard J. Smith.
She is survived by:

Daughter – Debra Padgett Brown Smith of Canton, Ga.
Grandchild – Kelly Brown (Matt) Wheeler
Grandchild – Trenton Patrick (Naan Dee) Brown
Grandchild – Jessica Brown (Joe) Braithwaite
Great-Grandchild – Rhys Wheeler
Great-Grandchild – Jonus Braithwaite
Sister – Velva Dungan Darden of Forsyth, Ga.
Sister – Alice Dungan James of Johns Creek, Ga.
Many nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Sunday, December 10th from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and Monday, December 11th from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 12th at 12:30p.m. from the chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McRae officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.
