Mary Joyce Peacock Hall died Wednesday at her home after
an extended illness. Born March 24, 1935 in Canton, she was
the daughter of Claude H. and Nell V. Peacock who preceded
her in death. Also deceased are former husbands Isaac Gentle
and James Hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Terrebonne, two sons,
David Gentle and Joel Gentle, and by a grandson, Isaac Gentle, of Canton, and by her brother, Harold Peacock of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee.
A graduate of Canton High School and Georgia State College
for Women, Mrs. Hall was a noted pianist at many area functions
and an active participant in CHS Alumni functions. Joyce Retired from
North Georgia Community Child Care which she founded and served as the executive Director for 25 Years
Visitation will be from 6:00PM to 8:00PM , Friday
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00P.M. Saturday December 10, 2016 from the Chapel of the Darby Funeral Home. Chaplain Hal Cole will officiate
followed by internment at Cherokee Memorial Park.The Caring Staff of Darby Funeral is in Charge of arrangements.
