Mrs. Mary Ann Willis-Trimble was born November 7, 1937, in Opelika, Alabama. She was the second child born to the late John L. Willis and Sallie Mae Pitts-Willis; two (2) brothers John Robert Willis and Tommie Lee Willis proceeded her in death. Her sister Patricia Holloway (James deceased) currently lives in Canton, Georgia. She departed this life on September 4, 2022, at her home in Riverdale, Georgia.
On December 24, 1958, she was married to the late Mr. Bobby Trimble. Of this union, five (5) children were born; two proceeded her in death, Dennis Trimble (1985) and Brenda Foster (Tim deceased) (2012).
She became a Christian at a young age and began her work in Christ's Kingdom in Ebenezer CME Church in Alabama. After moving to Canton, Georgia she moved her membership to St. Paul AME Church. After the death of her son Dennis in 1985, she started attending other churches in the Canton community and shared her gift of giving and praising God.
Mary Ann worked at the Canton Textile Mills when she relocated to Canton in the late fifties. Sheresigned after 18 years and started working for General Motors (GM) in Doraville, Georgia. After 18 years of service, she retired from there as well.
Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memories, three children: Linda (Reginald) Reed, Jerome (Virginia) Trimble, and Amy (Steven) Heard, and adopted daughter Ann (Kenneth) Johnson. She leaves behind nine
(9) grandchildren: Jermaine (Hillary) Foster, Jamie (Tiffany) Foster, Ashley (Antonio) Burton, Jessyha Ann Reed, Georgia Giovanni Reed,
Taron (Darnell) Murray, Dennis Trimble, Andrea Trimble, and Christopher Heard, twelve (12) great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
