Mary Magdalene Watkins, age 90 of Ball Ground, passed away on September 6, 2019. She was a member of Hightower Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Watkins. Our "Nanny" will always be remembered as a loving and devoted Godly woman.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Darby Funeral Home. The funeral service will occur on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hightower Baptist Church in Ball Ground, Ga. Rev. Gerral Richards and Rev. Ronnie McCormick will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Watkins is survived by son Keith (Debra) Watkins; daughter Wanda (John) Peterson; daughter Donna Watkins; daughter Tracy (Ken) LeCroy; brother Gene (Jo) Gilleland; sister Atholene(Herman) Wilkie; and sisters-inlaw and brothers-in-law: Bobbie Gilleland, Peggy Gilleland, Margie Wilkie, and Doris (Jerry) Hamby; six grandchildren: Brandi, Gabe, Erik, Bethany, Jacob, and Hunter; and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
