Melba Coker died on September 8, 2010.  She was born in Dodge County, GA to Clara Mae Fordham and William Thomas Giddens.  Melba received her nursing degree from Emory University in 1948.  She was a qualified Registered Nurse.  She married Grady Newton Coker, Sr. M.D. in 1948.  They have one Son, Newton Jasper Coker M.D.  She is survived by a loving family of siblings and their spouses, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren.  Melba ask to be remembered as one who did for others.  A memorial is to be held at a later date.  She ask that any gifts in her memory be made to the Canton Community Church.  Condolences may be left at www.darbyfuneralhome.com .  The caring staff of Darby Huey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
