Michael C. Chislom, age 75, of Waleska, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Michael was born on November 2, 1950, to Lawrence and Alnita Collier. She was raised in Lake Wales, Florida, and graduated from Lake Wales High School in 1968. She went on to attend Berry College and Florida State University, later earning her master's degree from the University of Georgia and her law degree from Georgia State University.
While living in Rome, Georgia, she met the love of her life, Michael "Chile" Chisolm. They shared 25 wonderful years of marriage until his passing.
Michael established her own law practice in Woodstock, where she built a successful career specializing in family law. She was widely known for her strong advocacy and deep compassion, particularly for juveniles and senior citizens.
She was an active member of the Woodstock Jaycees for many years, where she formed lifelong friendships with a close-knit group known as the "Queens," who remained dear to her heart throughout her life.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Michael enjoyed horseback riding and camping. She had a special love for animals and cherished her dogs and all of her pets.
Michael will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the Darby Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Evan Black officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service.
She is survived by her son, Aaron Chislom of Hoschton, Georgia; her daughter, Brady Loiacono of Woodstock; and her beloved grandchildren, Willa Mae Chisolm and Manny Loiacono, Jr. Step Daughter
