Michael Robin Gomez, 66 of Ball Ground, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Northside Hospital Cherokee.

The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. A Celebration of Life Service will take place after the visitation in the chapel. Deacon Eddie Gomez will officiate. Interment will take place at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 12:30pm.

Mr. Gomez is survived by his wife, Marcy Downes of Ball Ground; step-son, Robert T. Downs of Jasper; step-daughters, Lisa (Tracy) Cox of Jasper, and Angela Shields of Panama City, FL; brothers, Eddie (Pam) Gomez of Acworth, Ricky (Janet) Gomez of Dawsonville, Ramon (Veronica) Gomez of Victoria, TX, and Johnny Salazar of Alpharetta; sisters, Estelle Butler of Calhoun and Lynda Clanton of Atlanta; and step-grandchildren, Andrea Fischer, Dustin Satterfield, and Haley Williams.
