Michael J. Zdrojewski, age 82, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Canton Nursing Center.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Michael proudly served his country as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, dedicating 20 years of honorable service, including two tours in Vietnam as part of the 101st Airborne Division. His courage and leadership were recognized with multiple commendations, including two Bronze Stars, the Air Medal, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, and the Army Commendation Medal.
He was married to the love of his life, Barbara Zdrojewski, for 60 years, and together they built a life full of love, strength, and service.
Michael is survived by his three daughters:

Cathleen (Robert Bland) Zdrojewski of Standerville, VA
Kimberly (Roberto Rodoero) Zdrojewski of Arenzano, Italy
He was a proud grandfather to Nicole Perona, Heather Ragland, Michael Perona, Matteo Rodoero, and Erika Rodoero.
Michael will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and American patriot. His legacy of service, honor, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
