Mildred Louise Callahan, age 74, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at her home in Canton, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on January 30, 1951, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Margery Ann Hogg Clopton and John A. Clopton, Millou lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of everyday living.
She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Donald (Don) L. Callahan. Together, they made countless memories traveling across the country and enjoying time together.
She loved gardening, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. She had a strong passion for art and could make any house a home. Millou was a talented golfer with a graceful swing and had a special place in her heart for animals, and her home was always filled with the love of her cherished pets.
She is survived by her husband, Donald (Don) L. Callahan of Canton, GA; stepdaughters Tonya Callahan Lavoie (John) of Cumming, GA, and Tamara R. Callahan of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters Mary Jane Hathaway of Birmingham, AL, and Ann Pierce (Bobby) of Mobile, AL; and two grandchildren, Hannah Lavoie and Matthew Lavoie, who brought great joy to her heart.
At Millou's request, no services will be held at this time. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace and will be forever remembered for her kindness, her elegance, and her deep love for those around her.
