Mitzi White, age 59, passed away on September 19, 2025. She was born on December 12, 1965, in Atlanta, Georgia, to her mother Martha Joan Crane White. Mitzi was the beloved first grandchild of Odell and Ira Crane, and throughout her life shared a deep bond with her grandmother, whom she lovingly considered her " second mom."
Mitzi's greatest joy was her son, Bradley Tate White, whose passing eleven years ago was the heartbreak of her life. Toward the end of her journey, she looked forward to being reunited with both Bradley and her grandfather Ira.
She enjoyed a fulfilling career with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and was known for her love of historical trivia and her sharp mind for answering questions on Jeopardy! She had a remarkable memory and was always ready with an answer when her grandmother asked about dates from the past. Mitzi also loved to travel and attend sporting events, and she cherished the close friendship she shared with Kelsey Little, whose two sons, Cooper Little and Cole Little, held a special place in her heart.
Mitzi is survived by her mother, Joan Dickson of Alpharetta, GA; her grandmother, Odell Crane of Alpharetta, GA; her companion, Gunter Wendlandt of Phenix City, AL; her sisters, Ellen Dickson of Alpharetta, GA, and Dana Dickson of Virginia; as well as many cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bradley Tate White, and her grandfather, Ira Tate Crane.
A memorial service honoring Mitzi's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Reverend Joe Ringwalt will officiate.
