Nancy J. Burnette

Nancy J. Burnette, 84, of Ball Ground, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. She was born on December 29, 1939, to Esther Simpson Haynes and James Columbus Haynes.

Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother who brought joy and kindness to everyone she met. Her warmth and faith shone brightly throughout her life, and she treasured her time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Herbert Burnette of Ball Ground, GA; her son Joseph C. Marks (Michelle) of Bethlehem, GA; her daughters Kimberly Ann Schuessler of Macon, GA, Pam Tucker (Joseph "Joey") Woodstock, GA, her granddaughters Abby Tucker, Ava Tucker, Kristie Smith (James); and her great-granddaughter Evie Smith, who was the apple of her eye.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Canton First Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until the service hour. Reverend Cliff Pace will officiate.

Nancy will be remembered for her unwavering love, her gentle spirit, and the legacy of faith and family she leaves behind.
