Oliver Morris, Jr., age 64 of Stone Mountain, GA passed away August 24, 2013 in Pontiac, MI. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM Friday, September 6, 2013 from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Ministers; Bruce Cherry, Amy Rooney and Larry Foster and Reverends Lemora Dobbs and Frank Fitzpatrick will officiate. Oliver Morris, Jr. was born to the late Oliver Morris Sr. and Luella (Foster) Morris in Canton, GA December 2, 1948. Oliver joined the Zion Baptist Church at an early age.  The family moved to Milwaukee, WI where Oliver attended North Division High School. He joined the Army in 1967. He married the late Jennifer Cleveland and to this union a daughter, Stephanie Morris was born. Oliver later moved to Pontiac, MI where he attended Culinary School and worked at the Dome. He and Margurite James were wed in 1987. Oliver departed this life 13 years and 10 days after the death of his sister Barbara Ann Franklin. Deshaun Morris, Columbia, TN, Barry (Joey) James, Roseville, MI and 16 Grandchildren, sisters; Mary (Tiny) Byrd, Eloise Giddens, Canton, GA, Rosyln Morris, Milwaukee, WI, Faustina (Anthony) Rogers, Stone Mountain, GA, brothers; Sylvester Morris, Cartersville, GA, James Perry (Nina) Morris, Canton, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
