June Payne, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend was called home Saturday morning June 10, 2023.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00PM Monday June 12th from the chapel of Darby Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Ponder Cemetery. Rev. Kent Samples will officiate. Visitation will begin on Sunday June 11th from 3:00PM - 8:00PM and Monday June 12th from 10:00AM until the funeral hour.
Ms. Payne loved to travel. Her son Anthony was her greatest achievement. She was a wonderful grandmother to her grandsons, Christian and Alexander Payne and a wonderful mother in law to Lewellyn.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Anthony (Lewellyn) Payne, Canton, GA, grandsons, Christian Payne and Alexander Payne and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Alma Ponder and her sister, Martha (Walter) Greene.
