Peter Charles Averill, 81 of Ball Ground, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, May 13th from 11am to 1pm at Darby Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 1pm in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McRae and Rev. Sherri McRae officiating. He is survived by:

Daughter - Dr. Margy (Scott) McCown of Ball Ground
Brother - Dr. Robert Averill of San Diego, CA.
Sister - Dr. Ann Averill of Wallace, NC.
Grandchildren - Trey Averill, Hannah McCown, Holly McCown
