Randolph Calvin Bready, age 93 of Canton, GA passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at Ga. National Cemetery on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10:30AM with Rev. Floyd Tenney officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, June 2 from 2PM-4PM at Darby Funeral Home. Survivors include three Sons, Gene, Walter and Roy Bready, and two Grandchildren.
Mr. Bready grew up on a farm in Montgomery County, Maryland. He graduated from the Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring in 1937, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Aeronautical Degree from New York University. He served in the Navy during World War Two as an Aviation Engineering Officer in the Pacific Area. He was employed by the Lockheed-Georgia Company for 29 years as a Mechanical Systems Staff Engineer. Mr. Bready was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineer's Aircraft Enviromental Systems Committee during most of his time at Lockheed, serving as chairman for a number of years. After retirement from Lockheed in 1985, he became a consultant on the design of environmental control systems for new cabin interiors in executive type aircraft. Mr. Bready was a registered professional engineer for the state of Georgia, and a Designated Engineering Representative for the Federal Aviation Administration. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
