Raymond Joseph Horton
Died-- July 14, 2020
Joined the Navy at age 17. Served in WWII. Saw action in South Pacific on ship SS Sagittarius, which was credited for shooting down 2 1/2 enemy planes.
After retirement from NAFL Corp Div of Chris Craft Inns in Trenton where he was employed for 42 years, his love of sports led him and wife Trudie to move to Ft. Myers, FL, where he was close to his beloved Boston Red Sox Training Camp. They enjoyed 18 years in Florida.
In 2006, they decided a move to Georgia would be a better option to be closer to family. They love it in Canton and enjoy the seasons and the wonderful warmth of neighbors and friends.
Ray leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Trudie, Son Raymond and wife Cindy, Daughter Roxanne Turner and husband Claiborne (KC) Kent, Grandchildren Jenna Decker, Raymond and Mary Haggi, Jill and Dale Wheeler, Shannon and Mike Ortiz, Chris and Caroline Wheeler, Great-Grandchildren Serena Ortiz, Somer and Sydney, Emily Marie and Chris Wheeler.
