Renita Stowers, age 66 of Canton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Renita was a life long resident of Cherokee County. She retired from the U.S. Postal service after 33 years of service . She was member of Revolution Church. She was a proud member of the Cherokee High School State Championship Basketball team. She was always full of laughter and fun. She loved her family enjoyed coaching her nieces softball team.

A memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Rev Alan Day will officiate . There will be no public visitation.

Renita is survived by her parents, Dennis & Betty Jean Stowers; sister & Brother-in-law , Renee & Mike King; niece, Shanda ( Scotty Nixon) King; nephew, Shane ( Amanda Edwards ) King; great-nephew, Brantley King; great-nieces, Brooklyne Casey and Juliana King; great-great-niece, Heaven Casey; and great-great-nephew, Mateo Garcia.

Renita was preceded in death by her Grandparents Lester & Annie Hendrix and Nellie Kate Stowers
