In Loving Memory of Reverend Michael "Mike" William Mullinax
July 8, 1960 – November 30, 2024
With hearts full of gratitude for a life lived in faithful service to the Lord, we announce the passing of Reverend Michael "Mike" William Mullinax, age 64, of Ball Ground, GA, who went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2024.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and pastor, Mike's life was a testament to God's love and grace. He found his greatest joy in his family and his churches, dedicating decades of ministry to spreading the Gospel and shepherding his congregations.
Reverend Mullinax answered the call to preach at North Canton Baptist Church in Canton, GA, where his journey in ministry began. Over the years, his faithful service led him to pastor at several churches across North Georgia, including Amicalola Baptist Church in Dawson County, Mill Creek Baptist Church in Woodstock, Bethesda Baptist Church in Nelson, Talona Baptist Church in Ellijay, New Home Baptist Church in Woodstock, and Shiloh Baptist Church. Most recently, he served as pastor at Pilgrim Baptist Church, where his love for his congregation shone brightly.
Mike's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Cindy Holaway Mullinax, of Ball Ground, GA; his sons, Joseph "Joe" Mullinax (Stephanie) of Canton, GA, and Samuel Mullinax of Perry, GA; and his cherished grandchildren, Knox Mullinax and McKinley Mullinax. He is also survived by his brother, Greg Mullinax (Connie) of Ball Ground, GA. Mike was preceded in death by his loving parents, Sherman "Sam" McKinley Mullinax and Regina Fowler Mullinax, whose legacy of faith shaped his life and ministry.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024, from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home, with Reverend Joey Youngblood officiating. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Reverend Mike Mullinax's legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched through his ministry, family, and friendship. Though he will be deeply missed, we rejoice in the knowledge that he now rests in the presence of his Savior, having heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
The staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Mullinax Family.
