Richard Harold Dameron

Richard Harold Dameron, 75, of Ball Ground, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025. Born in Marietta, Georgia, on November 2, 1949, Richard was the beloved son of Mildred Evelyn Conger Dameron and Lee Jackson Dameron.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Richard will be honored with full military rites at his funeral, which will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday June 11, 2025 at Georgia National Cemetery. Buddy Hulsey will officiate the service.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Karen Elizabeth Dameron of Ball Ground; his sons, Cory Dameron of Ball Ground, Wesley Dameron of Fort Worth, Texas, and Adrian (Melanie) Dameron of Richmond Hill, Georgia; his brothers, Barry (Cathy) Dameron of Marietta and Gary Dameron of Woodstock; three cherished grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was a man of quiet strength, devotion, and faith—a Gold Star Father who carried the deep sorrow and enduring pride of having lost his son, SGT Joel P. Dameron, in the Iraq War. Richard was also preceded in death by his sisters, Brenda Daniels and Vickie Dameron.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his patriotism, and his unwavering character. His legacy of service, sacrifice, and love lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
