Richard Kittrell Gully, 76, of Woodstock, GA passed away to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 6:00pm at Wildwood Baptist Church in Acworth, GA, with visitation preceding the service at 4:30PM. Pastor Ric Cadle will officiate. A short burial service will be held Saturday July 1, 2017 in the Bay Springs Free Will Baptist sanctuary in Eastman, GA.
A native of Meridian, MS, Richard was a proud graduate of Mercer University in Macon, GA. After a long and successful career, he enjoyed retirement to the fullest. He loved spending time with his wife of 41 years and his 9 grandchildren. He truly had a servant's heart, devoting much of his time to The Gideons International, ministering within the Cobb County prison system, and teaching at Wildwood Baptist.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Gail Gully, of Woodstock, sons; Richard Gully, Jr., of Greenville, SC, Brandt (Cheryl) Gully of Marietta, GA, Todd (Tina) Lewis of Washington, GA, David Lewis of Marietta; daughter, Cheryl (Rob) McCrorey of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Richard Gully III, Thomas Gully, Emma Gully, Carolyn McCrorey, Peyton Gully, Anna Gully, Samantha Gully, Camille Lewis and Will Lewis.
