Robert W. (Bob)Laney , 81, of Woodstock, GA passed away Monday, August 4, 2009.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Stephanie Howard Laney and his grandson, Geoffry Laney. Survivors also include, brother, Richard, of Boca Raton, FL; sons, Michael of Ellijay, GA, Russell of Snellville, GA and seven other grandchildren.
He is the son of the late Robert M. and Eunice N. Laney of Derry, NH.
Mr. Laney served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was the sole survivor of the Hadong Massacre.
His 53 years professional career was spent first with the airlines and for the last 33 years as President of Laney International Travel. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday Aug 29, 2009 from the Chapel of the Darby Huey Funeral Home . The Caring Staff of Darby Huey Funeral Home, Canton , GA in Charge of arrangements
