Robert Joseph Lenane, 84, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on Saturday March 03, 2018; at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain, in Kennesaw Ga.
Robert was Born in Elmont NY. He was a Navy Veteran serving out of Guantanamo Bay working on Aircraft and flying Helicopter's. He was a hardworking man who spent his working years employed by Raychem and Grumman in the Aviation / Electronics field. Robert was also a volunteer Fire Chief in North Amityville. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion in Marietta Ga.
Robert married his beautiful bride Carol A. Lenane (Steppe) on August 08, 1959; they were married 44 Years. Carol Lenane, 67, preceded Robert in passing on September 30, 2003.
Survived by four children Pattie Simmons and her husband David Simmons of Ballground Ga, Stephen Lenane of Toluca Lakes Ca.,Terry Poesel of Lawrenceville Ga., Connie Edwards and her husband Tim Edwards of Lake Wylie SC., along with 8 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
A private service was held on Monday May 14, 2018. with Military Color Guard Honors at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton Ga. Then followed by the interment where they are together again.
Arrangements were made by Darby Funeral Home.
