Ruby Louise Knight, age 82, of Acworth, Georgia, went to be with her Lord Jesus on September 20, 2019. Ruby was born in 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia. A lifelong "Georgia girl" Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Louise Griswell, husband, Donald Knight, and brothers, Jim and Charles Griswell.
Ruby was a graduate of North Fulton High School. She wore several hats in her life, but she was the happiest in her roles as Mama, Nana and Great-Nana. She loved her family deeply. Her abiding faith in Jesus Christ was a testament to all who knew and loved her. She was an avid reader and loved her many road trips to the mountains. She will be greatly missed on earth, until we meet again.
Ruby Knight is survived by her daughter, Renee Brown (Lloyd), son, Steve Stone, brother, Walter Griswell (Lena), Grandchildren, Eric Brown (Katie), Rachel Brown Fernandez (Shayn), 3 Great-Grandchildren, Ella, Owen, Emmy, many Nieces and Nephews and her beloved dog, Elvis.
A graveside service will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM . Rev. Kenneth Bentley will officiate. Many thanks to Marietta Personal Care Home, Agape Hospice and Darby Funeral Home for your amazing kindness and care these past months.
