Ruth Ann Smitha, 67, formerly of West Chester, OH, died peacefully at her home in Canton, GA on Sunday, August 19, 2012.

Born June 11, 1945 in PeeWee Valley, KY. Ruth Ann was the beloved wife of Barry Smitha, with whom she celebrated her 44th wedding anniversary in June of this year. Having recently retired from Paychex Corporation after 25 years of service, Ruth Ann and her husband were enjoying their golden years traveling the world and visiting family and friends.

Ruth Ann was a caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Barry, daughters Stephanie (Kris R.) Shepherd, Alissa McDaniel, and Courtney (Benjamin R.) Woody, and grandchildren Sydnie Shepherd, Liam McDaniel, Harrison Shepherd, Kellen McDaniel, Carman Woody, Payton Woody, and Calvin Woody.
