Sandra Lee White, lovingly known as "Sandi" (formerly Sandi Reeves and formerly Sandi Coulter), passed away on August 7, 2025, in Canton, Georgia, at the age of 72. Though she spent recent years in Canton, her heart's home—and the home of her church - was Lathemtown.
Born August 30, 1952, Sandi was a creative, quick-witted soul whose gifts showed up wherever beauty met usefulness. An avid gardener and Master Gardener, she designed landscapes with a painter's eye and a homesteader's practicality. She was a skilled writer and amateur garden columnist who loved sharing what she learned, stories about her chickens or offering gardening tips delivered with her trademark clarity and humor. Oil painting, good books, and thoughtful conversation rounded out a life spent cultivating things that last.
Sandi's faith sustained her, and she found community and comfort at Orange Methodist Church in Lathemtown.
She is survived by her children, Cameron O'kon, Missy Reeves, and Faith Reeves; her brother, David White; and extended family and friends who will miss her love of nature, her bent toward whimsy, and her sharp wit.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:30AM August 20, 2025, at Orange Methodist Church with interment following in the Georgia National Cemetery at 3:00PM. Reverend Dr. Greg Burgner will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Sandi by planting a tree or supporting a cause she would have loved - for example:
•Planting a native oak in her honor
•Donating to the Arbor Day Foundation or a local gardening organization such as a Master Gardener program, the Georgia Native Plant Society, or a community garden.
