Sandra Harvell Rogers of Canton, Georgia, passed away on July 13 at the age of 79 after a brave twenty-five year battle with multiple sclerosis.



Born the youngest of ten children to Lewis Elijah Harvell and Sadie Hope (Morgan) Harvell in Camden, Alabama, Sandra served a thirty-two year career as a beloved educator in the Fitzgerald, LaGrange, and Rome school systems in Georgia. As an English literature teacher and later as a school counselor, she loved serving as a sponsor of the cheerleaders and of the National Honor Society program.



Sandra is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jack Rogers, her son Jeffrey Rogers and his wife Camille, her son Jason Rogers, her grandchildren Ruth and Rachel Rogers, her brother Joe Harvell and her sisters Sadie (Harvell) Pugh and Ann (Harvell) Allen.



Services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday July 20, 2025 at the Sixes United Methodist Church, Canton, GA with visitation beginning at 1:30PM until 2:45PM. Reverend Joshua Garner will officiate.
