Sara Louise Wyatt Bevis Jones age 82 was born on November 22, 1940, in Canton Georgia. Sara received her wings and went to walk with the Lord and His angels, on August 01, 2023, in Rome, GA.
Sara is survived by her 2 children, son Scott and Penny Bevis, Cedartown, GA and daughter Sandi Bevis, Rome, GA. Surviving grandchildren include: Wyatt and Erica Bevis, Cleveland, TN, Kaycie and Erik Lipetz, Adairsville, GA, Jack and Brooke Bevis, Rome, GA, Steven Ford, Rome, GA, Zack Ford and Maria, Rome, GA. Anyone who knows them knows that she was and will continue to be a star in their eyes. Surviving great-grandchildren include: Lilly Winn, Carter Bevis, Ashlynn Jackson, Hudson Bevis, Stella Lipetz and Charlie Ford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sara was preceded in death by her parents Grady and Jennie Bell Wyatt of Canton, GA, her brother Donald Wyatt of Houston TX, and her sister Delores and Sid Konkle of Atlanta, GA.
Throughout Sara's life she was a seamstress and she made and altered clothes for family members and multiple friends. She was a long-time member of Garden Lakes Baptist Church followed by West Rome Baptist Church. She was also a beautician and worked at several Beauty Shops around Rome, GA. She loved to play golf and travel. She loved to visit her high school friends from Canton, Georgia's Cherokee High School class of 1958. She was happiest in life just being a mom and enjoying her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation and Services will be held at Darby's Funeral Home, Canton, GA, on August 03, 2023. Visitation begins at 12:30 p.m. Service at 2:00 p.m. followed by the Interment at Cherokee Memorial Park, Canton, GA. Pallbearers include: Scott Bevis, Wyatt Bevis, Steven Ford, Zack Ford, Jack Bevis and Erik Lipetz.
