Obituary for Sean Christopher Lamprey
Sean Christopher Lamprey, age 34 of Canton, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at his residence after a courageous sixteen year battle with brain cancer. The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 3:00p.m. with Rev. Sandra Henry officiating. He is survived by his wife, Anna Lamprey of Canton, his parents, Paul (Judith) Lamprey of Rome, his sister, Karla Quick of Rome, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mark (Mary Jane) Banks of Canton, his brother-in-law, Will Banks of Marietta, his aunt and uncle, Roger (Lisa) Nash of Rome, his aunt and uncle Francis (Mary) Lamprey of Orland, Florida, his aunt Jeanette Nash of Tenstrike, Minnesota, his cousins Graham (Casey) Nash of Rome, Drew (Tonya) Nash of Rome, Jessica (Michael) Murphy of Rome, Cody Nash of Tenstrike, Minnesota, and Kortney (Matthew) Jorgensen of Clearbrook, Minnesota, along with many extended family members and friends.
Sean was a graduate of Rome High School and the University of Georgia. He was passionate about following his favorite sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and the Georgia Bulldogs. He had the ability to light up a room with his quick wit and smile. Sean bravely fought through sixteen years of fighting brain cancer- three surgeries, two biopsies, rounds of radiation and chemo. Through it all, he kept a smile on his face and never questioned "why him." He was always upbeat and positive, no matter how bad he might have felt. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
