Shirley Irving, age 87 of Alpharetta, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Halcyon House Hospice in Atlanta. Private services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Irving is survived by her Husband, John Irving of Alpharetta, GA; Sons, Lawrence Irving of Canton, GA, John L. Irving of Alexander, AK and Phillip Irving of Alexander, AK; Daughter, Sharon Hotchkiss of Alpharetta, GA; also surviving are 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Irving was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family, knitting, ceramics and taking walks with her husband at Sherwood Island. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
