Obituary

Stephen Christian Doran
1959 - 2023
Stephen Christian Doran passed away at Northside Cherokee Hospital in
Canton, Georgia on Sunday, December 31, 2023 following a brief illness.
He was 64 years old.
Stephen was born in Watervliet, New York to Joseph Doran and his late
mother Patricia (nee O'Brien) Doran. He grew up with two sisters, the late
Rosemary Gremelsbacker (married to the late Joseph Gremelsbacker) of
Hollywood, Florida, and Eileen Wrona (Christopher) of Rochester, New
York.
Stephen lived in eight different states during his childhood, as the family
moved frequently with his Father's career. He graduated in the Class of
1977 from Medfield Senior High School. Stephen went on to serve
honorably in the United States Air Force for eight years at McGuire Air
Force Base, later working for the Department of Defense as a jet airplane
mechanic and researcher at the Naval Air Propulsion Center in New Jersey.
He obtained his Associates Degree at the Community College of the Air
Force.
Stephen later entered the Community Management Industry, acquiring his
PCAM, AMS, CMCA, working for Wentworth Group, First Service
Residential, CMA, and Associa.
He met Eileen (nee Ledger) Doran in 2011, and the two married in an
intimate ceremony, sharing their love for historical architecture at the
Kimberton Inn in 2014. He was the loving father of Kacie (nee Doran)
Overland, and encouraged their pursuit of a career in the arts, remaining
one of their biggest supporters no matter the distance between the two of
them over the years.
Stephen loved his life and his family. He traveled the world with his wife,
Eileen, and volunteered his time at the Aviation, History, and Technology
Center in Marietta, Georgia. He enjoyed art and music, especially his
beloved Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Frequently attending
concerts and plays, these activities were second only to his love of
Philadelphia Eagles football and Nascar racing.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Eileen; daughter, Kacie; daughter-in-law,
Tara Overland; father, Joseph; sister, Eileen, brother in-law, Chris; and
Kacie's mother, Maretta Briggs (David). He also leaves behind two nieces,
Morgan Gremelsbacker of Hollywood, Florida and Jessie Wrona of
Rochester, New York. Most especially, his two cats Suki and Tashia will
miss him greatly.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in prayer and interment at
SS Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA on Saturday, January 20th,
at 11:00AM. A reception will follow for all in attendance. Further location
details will be provided day-of at the cemetery. Please RSVP via the Ever
Loved website or by contacting Kacie Overland directly.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Aviation History &
Technology Center in Stephen's memory.
