Steven Carlton Moon of Jasper Georgia, age 69, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones. Steve was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his faith and family above all else.
Raised in Atlanta, he was a proud graduate of Mercer University, where he built a successful career as a pharmacist serving his community with dedication and care. He was known for his generosity and thoughtfulness, always going out of his way to help others. Outside of work, he was an avid hunter, golfer, and sports fan, especially passionate about his beloved Atlanta Braves. His love for God was evident in every aspect of his life, and he was a faithful member of GO Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tonya Moon, his sister, Jan Moon, and his daughters, Melanie Jackson and Candice Meadows (Ben Meadows). Steve took great pride in his grandchildren: Hailee (12), Rowan(11), Abigail(10), and Henry(1).
Steve fought bravely through his illness, living a life centered around his faith, family, and his compassion for others. His love for sports and his kind spirit brought joy to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
