Stuart Robert Rogers, 76 of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at The Arbor at Bridgemill.
Stuart was born on December 1, 1947, in Poughkeepsie, New York, to William Stuart Rogers and Anne Dolores Rogers. After graduating high school, he proudly fulfilled his duty to his county by joining the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1969 after serving meritoriously in Vietnam. Throughout his life, Stuart held many titles, but the role he cherished most was being a father. His work ethic was unparalleled, always ensuring the comfort and security of his family, reflecting his unwavering commitment to those he loved. He found immense joy in spending time with his two sons, embarking on adventures with his brother, and indulging a lifelong passion for golf. Stuart's loving heart and kindness continues to inspire those fortunate enough to have shared in his life. He will be deeply missed but forever loved by his friends and family.
Stuart's loving spirit is survived by his sons, Cody Rogers of Marietta, Georgia, and Stuart "Stu" Rogers of Eielson AFB, Alaska; and his brother, Brian Rogers of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 11:30am. Chris Collett will officiate.
