Sue T. Cannon's Obituary

Emma Sue Tippens Cannon of Canton Georgia passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning January 22, 2013 after a loving afternoon with family members. Funeral Services will be held at the Canton First United Methodist Church January 24, 2013. Visitation from Noon to 2:00 P.M. in the chapel and funeral service in the sanctuary at 2:00 P.M. The interment service will be held at Southview Cemetery.

Sue Tippens Cannon was Born May 16, 1925. . Sue was married to the late James A Cannon, former Mayor of the City of Canton. She was the youngest daughter of Elbert L. Tippens and Emma Hasty Tippens.

Sue Cannon is survived by Daughters and Sons in Law Judy and Barry Bishop, Canton and Linda and Rick Bailey, Canton, Son and Daughter in Law James E. and Dee Cannon, Flowery Branch. She was preceded in death by her sons David L. Cannon and Joseph W. Cannon. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is also serviced by two daughters- in -law Michelle Cannon, Waleska and June Kennamer, Scottsboro, AL.

Sue Cannon gave of her talents through her work and leadership positions in her church and community. The family request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Canton First United Methodist Church Family Fund or Cherokee County Cancer Society.
