Carol Sue Fitts, who  brought so much laughter and love to friends and family,
went home to live victoriously with Jesus on November 19, 2011. She was
born in Cherokee County on January 14, 1930. Her pursuits included modeling,
nursing, and singing, but her favorite roles were as wife to her beloved
husband, Sam Fitts (deceased) and as mother to her children that survive her,
Casey Hawley, Bobbi Phillips, and Jan Katz. Her love knew no limits for her
grandchildren, Maggie Phillips, Katie Phillips, Houston Hawley, and Zachary
Katz. She was predeceased by her father, H.V. Henderson, Sr. and her mother,
Lily Henderson. She is also survived by three sisters, Dot Greene, Juanita
Johnson, and Sammi Lathem, as well as her brother, H.V. Henderson, Jr. There
was no one like her. Services are at Darby Funeral Home as follows: Visitation
at 10:00am and funeral at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 23.2011, Rev. Horace
Richards will officiate with interment in the Cherokee Memorial Park . Caring
staff of the Darby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
