Thomas Anthony Hampton of Canton, Ga, passed away on February 25, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Hampton was a Buddhist, a proud marine veteran of Vietnam, and active in many community organizations. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church on March 17th at 6:30pm. The committal service will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery on March 24th, 2016, at 10:00am. Those wishing to attend the service should meet at Darby Funeral Home in Canton at 8:30am. Survivors include wife Joan Wilson of Canton; daughter Alia Hampton and Son in Law Marcial Moreno; two grandsons: Dante Moreno and Thomas Moreno of Kennesaw, GA;, and brothers Dale Hampton of Roswell, GA, and Joe Hampton of Covington, GA; Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Cherokee County Homeless Veteran Program, American Legion Post 45, 160 McClure St, Canton, Ga 30114.
