Thomas H. Royce
November 3, 1941- August 26, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Royce announces his transition from this life to the next. He fought a long and challenging battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was a creative, witty, generous and funny man who never met a stranger.
He is predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Imogene Royce, of Johnston City, Illinois and brother, Gene, of Utica, N.Y.
He leaves behind his soul mate and beloved wife Lora, (Lorraine Lazzara Mitchell) of Woodstock, Georgia and three sons and wives Christopher(Sherri) Royce of Manlius, NY, Scott (Nicole) Royce of Rome N.Y. and stepson David Mitchell (Trish) of Sauquoit, N.Y.
He cherished his five Grandchildren; Olivia and Nate Royce of Manlius, N.Y. and Joshua, Kaitlyn and Caleb Royce of Rome, N.Y.
He brought great joy to those around him and will be missed by many. The world will be a sadder place without his shining star.
Per Tom's request, there will be no calling hours or memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Food Bank or Rescue Mission. It is our wish that no one in this day and age goes hungry or is homeless.
We wish to thank Hospice of Wellstar for their kindness and compassion in caring for Tom in his final days.
