Timothy Garfield King, 52, of Waleska, Georgia went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Funeral services honoring his life will be held at Darby Funeral Home, February 11, 2022, at 3 p.m. Family will greet friends and family between 1-3 p.m. prior to services. Elder Randall Cagle will officiate.
Tim King was born May 6, 1969, in Demorest, Georgia to Hoyt William King and Betty Chastain King.
In 1990 Tim married Christina Jordan and fathered Katelynn and Nicholas King.
In his early years, Tim served in the U.S. Army. He later loved and enjoyed his career as a realtor for 27 years. He was an extremely proud father of his two children and grandson. Tim was a committed husband and best friend for 31 years to Christina (his muffin). Tim and Christina had a one-of-a-kind, loving relationship that was a real testament of true love.
Tim was the center and foundation for his family and loved ones. Tim had knowledge on just about everything and always had the perfect advice for any situation. Tim achieved a lot in his life, but the words and wisdom and love that he left behind are his greatest achievements. Tim was someone that you could always lean on and depend on for anything. One of his greatest gifts was the ability to add humor to any situation, and he used this gift to give joy to so many others. There are no words that can express the impact that Tim left on this world and in our hearts. His loss leaves a giant hole that can never be filled, but his deeds in life will bring smiles forever.
Tim had a sense of humor that was contagious and made others feel comfortable and loved in his presence. He had a passion for books and reading and they were a part of his daily life. As an adventurous spirit, Tim loved discovering new places and experiences with his family. He was active in the local tennis and pickle-ball community. The core of his joy came from spending quality time with his family and service to others.

Daughter – Katelynn King (Jordan Morris) of Ball Ground
Grandson - Benjamin
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Hoyt King and his brother Christopher King.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in his memory.
