Mrs. Vera Childers, age 88, of Canton, died Monday, January 11, 2010 at Woodstock Nursing Center. She is survived by daughters, Nell Childers, Canton; Willie Ruth Stancil, Canton; sons, Wayne Yancey and William Yancey, Alabama. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Carr Funeral Home Chapel in Boaz, AL Thursday at 1 P.M.
