Walter Ives, 89 of Norcross, GA passed away Friday October 28, 2011 at Cameron Hall Assisted Living Center.  Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday November 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM, from the Darby Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will have a reception following the service at Darby Funeral Home.  Survivors include Wife, Katie Ives, Canton, GA; Sons, Thomas Ives, France; Donald Ives, St. Catherine Ontario, Canada; James Ives, Norcross, GA; Edward Ives, Acworth, GA; Daughters, Caroline Poppe, Alpharetta, GA; Janet Bell, Jasper, GA; Brother, Ron Ives, Wanimo, Canada; Sister, Alice Klassen, Winnipeg, Canada; 9 Grandsons, 1 Granddaughter.  Mr. Ives was the Vice President of Research for Hitachi in Atlanta for over 20 years.  A loving Husband & Father "Katie's Fellow, Wally."  In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association @ 1925 Century Boulevard, NE, Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345.  The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in
