Wanda Van Mark, born March 15, 1951, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of June and George Wendell Coleman and lived a life filled with grace, friendship, and joy in simple pleasures.
From an early age, Wanda had a love for dance and baton, talents she proudly shared as a member of the dance squad at Hillcrest High School in Memphis. Her joy for movement and connection carried throughout her life, later finding expression in her dedication to her exercise class, where she built friendships and stayed active with a smile and determination.
In recent years, Wanda embraced new interests, including games of Mahjong and Bridge, which brought laughter, mental challenge, and treasured time with friends. She was also a devoted member of a women's social club, enjoying shared adventures that included trips to the Biltmore House, community theater outings, and elegant tea parties. These moments reflected Wanda's love of companionship, curiosity, and celebration of life's special moments.
Above all, Wanda cherished her family. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Wanda is survived by her son, John Steven Mark (Jennifer) of Ball Ground, Georgia; her daughters, Renee Russell (Scott) of Rosemark, Tennessee, and Dawn Stephens of Munford, Tennessee; her brother, Gene Coleman of Hernando, Mississippi; her sisters, Karen Wallace of Memphis, Tennessee, Pam McDonald of Enville, Tennessee, and Tammye Hollman of Munford, Tennessee; and her beloved grandchildren, Madison (Harrison) Marshall and Hannah Nolan, Anna Russell and Collin Russell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Chuck Coleman.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Wanda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of friendship and activity, and the joy she brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
